- Weber: Andante and Hungarian Rondo for Viola and Orchestra, J. 79 Op. 35
Flute:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Mozart: any work for flute and orchestra
Oboe:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Mozart: Concerto in C Major, K. 314
- Anonymous concerto in C Major attributed to Haydn
- Bellini: Oboe Concerto
Clarinet:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Mozart: Concerto in A Major, K. 622 (must be performed on an A clarinet)
- Weber: Any work for clarinet and orchestra (Henle edition preferred)
- Rossini: Andante, Theme, Variations for Clarinet and Orchestra
Bassoon:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Mozart: Bassoon concerto in B Flat Major, K. 191
- Hummel: Bassoon concerto
- Weber: Bassoon Concerto or Andante and Hungarian Rondo for Bassoon and Orchestra, Op. 35
Horn:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Haydn: Concerto No. 1 in D Major
- Mozart: Concerti No. 1 in D Major (1st movement only) or No. 2 or No, 3 or No. 4, or Rondo in E-flat K. 371
- Weber: Concertino in E Minor, Op. 45
Trumpet:
One work with orchestra or one movement or a group of movements by one of the following composers (maximum time: 25 minutes):
- Haydn: Concerto in E-flat Major
- Hummel: Concerto in E (or E-flat) Major
- Vivaldi: any work for trumpet and orchestra
Voice:
A minimum of two selections of operatic or oratorio arias of your choice from the following composers (max. 25 minutes):
- Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Rossini, Weber
NOTE: All voice applicants must determine if orchestral material is available for their selected arias. Availability can be checked by searching the Kalmus or Lucks orchestral catalogs or online at IMSLP.org. Any arias for which orchestral material is unavailable will not be considered for this competition.
