20 semi-finalists ranging from age 9 to 17 have been selected to compete on Thursday May 14. 10 finalists will chosen move on to the final round on Friday May 15 and the 2 winners will make a video production with us on Saturday May 30.

Help support our new mission and vision!

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Ensemble 212 to help raise funds to cover production costs of our Young Artist Competitions and other upcoming video productions. The funds received will be used to cover expenses relating to the creation of professional quality videos, including rental costs for the DiMenna Center, for the competition winners. By featuring them on professionally produced videos instead of a one-time performance, this will allow their performances to reach unlimited audiences and preserve their achievement as a lasting legacy.

Mission & Vision Statements

We would like to share some exciting news with you! The Artistic Director and Board of Directors have decided to reboot the organization with a new mission and vision statement aimed at educational outreach of classical music by becoming one of the first orchestras to use social media and technology as our primary means of broadcasting our artistic output.

Our mission statement:

To inspire and engage classical music audiences through accessible, interactive, and educational performance experiences.

Our vision statement:

Ensemble 212 will redefine the role of the 21st century chamber orchestra by becoming an online gateway for classical music audiences. We will be pioneers for using social media and technology as our primary means to broadcast our artistic output. Our innovative methods will focus on:

  • Providing our Young Artist Competition winners a platform to springboard their career.
  • Expanding the boundaries of programming with a global menu of traditional and contemporary offerings, focusing on Korea’s musical heritage reflected through our “Cultural Convergences” series.

Ensemble 212 will exemplify musical excellence and continuously evaluate and evolve with the cultural needs of modern society so that we are a reflection of our world.
